It is also recommended to measure the rise and thigh to get a more complete picture, especially when comparing to brand-specific size charts. Before you start

  • Lay your shorts on a flat surface and smooth out any wrinkles to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Use a soft measuring tape for flexible and accurate results. 

Key measurements to take

  • Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically at or just above your belly button, but adjust to where you typically wear your shorts.
  • Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam straight down to the bottom hem of the shorts leg.
